Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has commended
Deputy Superintendent of  Police  (DSP) Abdullahi Bakura victory at the just concluded 15th Biennial Police Games Shooting Competition held in Asaba, Delta State.

Bakura returned home with a gold medal from the annual shooting games.

The accomplished security officer also won a silver medal at the 14th edition held in Ibadan, Oyo State in 2024.

DSP Bakura, who serves as Guard Commander responsible for the security movement of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, distinguished himself further by commanding the opening and closing ceremonies of the police games.

The gold medal was presented by the Chairman of the Force Sport Planning Committee, AIG Fom Pam Joseph, alongside ACP Garba S. Yaro.

Upon presentation to the Governor, Radda congratulated Bakura and expressed pride in his achievements.

"You have done well. I am proud of your exploits in Asaba. Work hard so you can represent Nigeria in the next olympiad," the Governor said.

Bakura's excellence in shooting is backed by world-class training. He attended the Designated Defence Marksman course at the European Security Academy in Poland, and also completed the Close Protection Operative Course and Counter Terrorism course at the same institution.

He also completed the Unit Commander Course at Ila Orangun. His expertise extends beyond competition. Since 2019, Bakura has served as a parade commander in Nigeria's national parade, which comprises the Armed Forces and Nigeria Police Force.

In the same vein, he commanded the Nigeria Police Force Guard during the swearing-in of the late President Muhammadu Buhari until 2022.

The Governor urged Bakura to continue his dedication and maintain the same standard that earned him the gold medal.
