Governor Radda Extends Condolences to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Over Father’s Passing

“A father’s guidance is the first foundation of character,” says Governor Radda

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has extended his condolences to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, following the passing of his beloved father, Alhaji Ododo Sadiq, who returned to his Creator today.

In his message, Governor Radda described the late Alhaji Ododo Sadiq as a man of deep faith and integrity, whose life of discipline, wisdom, and selfless played a central role in shaping a son now entrusted with the great responsibility of leading Kogi State.

“The death of a father is a profound loss. He is a son’s first teacher, role model, and shield. Alhaji Ododo was not just Governor Usman Ododo father; he was his moral compass, his source of courage, and the steady hand that guided him through life’s journey. His values live on in his son and, through him, in the service of the people of Kogi State,” Governor Radda said.

The Governor noted that the passing of Alhaji Ododo Sadiq is not only a personal loss to the Ododo family but also to the wider community that respected him for his humility, generosity, and strong commitment to Islam.

“He embodied quiet dignity and piety. Though not in public office, his influence was felt through the upright life he lived and the countless people he inspired with his kindness and wisdom. Our nation owes much to fathers like Alhaji Ododo, whose devotion builds strong families and, by extension, strong societies,” the Governor added.

“Behind every good leader is the guiding hand of a father who instilled vision, resilience, and faith. Alhaji Ododo passing is a reminder of the invaluable role fathers play in shaping our society,” Governor Radda further remarked.

Governor Radda urged Governor Ododo and his family to take solace in the knowledge that Alhaji Ododo Sadiq lived a fulfilled life of faith and service, leaving behind a legacy that will endure for generations to come.

On behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, Governor Radda extended his condolences to Governor Usman Ododo, the entire Ododo family, the Government and people of Kogi State, and all who mourn his passing.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus as his final abode, and give his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” he prayed.
