Governor Radda Condoles with Former Permanent Secretary Alhaji Abubakar Yantumaki Over the Passing of His Father, Alhaji Ahmed (Alhaji Amadi)
The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, earlier this evening paid a condolence visit to the former Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Yantumaki, following the passing of his father, Alhaji Ahmed, popularly known as Alhaji Amadi, at his residence in Yantumaki.
Alhaji Ahmed passed away today at his home after a short period of illness. He was 121 years old.
The late Alhaji Ahmed is survived by four wives, 27 children, and 157 grandchildren leaving behind a large and blessed family that reflects his long life, legacy, and deep-rooted presence in the Yantumaki community.
Upon his arrival, Governor Radda was received by the Chairman of Danmusa Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Namama; Member of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Garba (Sai Baba); and several members of the bereaved family.
At the residence, Governor Radda offered his condolences to the family, reflecting on the long and impactful life the late Alhaji Ahmed lived. He prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept his good deeds, and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
The Governor also prayed that Allah bless the family with strength, comfort, and patience during this difficult period. He noted that losing a father at any age is painful, but losing a patriarch who lived for more than a century—guiding, nurturing, and uniting generations—is an even deeper loss for the entire community.
He encouraged the family to find solace in the remarkable legacy their father left behind and urged the community to continue upholding the values he stood for.
Governor Radda was accompanied during the visit by top government officials, including the Special Adviser on Political Matters, Hon. Yau Umar Gwajo-Gwajo, among others
