Governor Radda Congratulates Saidu Bashir Daura on Promotion to the rank of Deputy Comptroller General of  Immigration

The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated  Alhaji Saidu Bashir Daura, on his recent elevation   to the  rank  of Deputy Comptroller General of Immigration. 

Governor Radda described the elevation as a proud moment for Daura Emirate, Katsina State, and Nigeria, noting that DCG Daura’s career is a testament to discipline, professionalism, and national service.

With over three decades of meritorious service, DCG Daura has held key positions across several state commands Katsina, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Kano, and Oyo as well as at the Service Headquarters in Abuja, where he served in strategic roles including Comptroller in charge of Change of Employment, Comptroller of Passport Operations, Comptroller of Kebbi State Command, and most recently as head of the Finance and Accounts Directorate.

Governor Radda also commended DCG Daura leadership in strengthening the nation’s immigration system, particularly in passport reforms, service automation, and clearing backlogs for citizens at home and abroad. He further highlighted his contributions as a member of the Governing Board of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

While congratulating him, the Governor urged DCG Daura to regard this new rank not only as a personal achievement but also as a call to greater responsibility. He encouraged him to remain a model of integrity and patriotism, and to continue advancing reforms that improve service delivery for Nigerians.

“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Katsina State, I extend our warm congratulations to DCG Saidu Bashir Daura on this well-deserved promotion. We are confident that he will continue to serve with distinction and bring pride to our state and the nation at large,” Governor Radda said.

The Governor prayed for God’s guidance and strength for DCG Daura as he takes on higher responsibilities and assured him of the goodwill and support of the government and people of Katsina State.
